Boosts Data Analysis Features
LOS ANGELES, CA --- Dataxiom Software, Inc. announced the shipping of Release 3.5 of StatMost Statistical Analysis and Scientific Graphics Software for Windows 95 and NT. Since its initial development, StatMost has delivered a complete, easy-to-use system for tackling data analysis. StatMost ups the ante in Release 3.5 with a full range of statistical and data numerical analyses, new equation solvers, and several new timesaving data management features.
To enhance its comprehensive suite of statistical routines, StatMost now provides several advanced statistical options --- cluster analysis, factor analysis, survival analysis, and discriminant analysis --- that were previously only available in the special Extended version. Also included in StatMost Release 3.5's library of statistical analyses are descriptive statistics, ANOVA, linear and multiple regression, nonparametric statistics, correlations, experimental designs, general linear models, exponential smoothing, post-hoc tests, and time series.
StatMost Release 3.5 features an extensive library of data numerical analyses, including: polynomial, rational, spline interpolation; numerical differentiation and integration of user-defined functions; power spectrum and convolution; digital signal processing and data windowing; data filtering and smoothing; and matrix operations. In addition, StatMost Release 3.5 offers a full set of equation solvers: linear system of equations, nonlinear algebraic and polynomial equation, ordinary differential equations, and reduction of higher order ODE to systems of first order ODEs.
New timesaving data management features include graph templates, MACROs, and batch mode processing capabilities. The graph templates let you create several kinds of graphs for different data sets in separate files. The MACRO utility allows you to quickly and easily perform a sequence of statistical tests and generate corresponding graphs. To facilitate routine work, batch mode processing offers the ability for the general opening, merging, printing, and deleting of files.
Release 3.5's support of ODBC increases StatMost's compatibility with spreadsheet and database applications. StatMost can now import files from dBASE, Fox Pro, Access, Excel, Paradox, and other SQL databases that use ODBC. With Release 3.5, StatMost is now also network capable.
To augment its already powerful graphics capabilities, a LaTeX-style mathematical equation editor has been added. This feature allows you to easily create math equations, superscripts, subscripts, and other scientific notation within StatMost's easy-to-use plot editor. StatMost offers many statistical, business, and scientific plots and charts including 2D and 3D scatter plots, surface plot, bar and pie charts, histogram, box plot, pareto chart, and several quality control charts. Fully OLE 2.0 compliant, StatMost allows you to easily insert your graph, equation, or table object into any OLE-compatible wordprocessing program.
